SEVENSHINE
Sevenshine is an alternative rock power-trio consisting of Greg Miller (guitars, vocals), Louis Ewing (drums) and Zac Miller (bass). They create music for both the 'sacred' and 'secular' arenas without compromising the integrity of either. They are equally comfortable performing in faith-based and crossover environments with songs focused on God and songs focused on life.
Since their inception in 2009, the lineup has changed somewhat with founding members Greg and Louis remaining constant and Zac joining in 2015. After a several year hiatus, Sevenshine has returned launching into 2025 with new singles from their forthcoming album and several re-releases including their Christmas single, He Has Come, and their cover of the Los Lonely Boys hit, Heaven, featuring the legendary Larry Dunn of Earth Wind & Fire.
WHAT DOES SEVENSHINE MEAN?
SEVEN = The number of completion, which speaks to God's "Shalom" - 'Nothing missing, nothing lacking, nothing broken'.
SHINE = The shine of the oil of God's anointing (Ps. 23:5/92:10/133:2, Is. 10:27) which is released when submitted vessels yield to the refining fire of the Holy Spirit.
When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into the fiery furnace by King Nebuchadnezzar, not only did they survive, but they were set free from their bonds (Daniel 3:25) and a supernatural event took place: Nebuchadnezzar was so angry that he ordered the furnace be turned up 7 times hotter than normal (Dan. 3:19). His plan backfired (no pun intended). Not only were guards killed by the heat upon throwing the Hebrew boys into the violent furnace, but something amazing occurred next- Nebuchadnezzar himself witnessed a fourth man in the fire! Whether an angel or the Lord Himself, it was a supernatural event that changed the heart of this 'false-god-worshipping' king. He commanded them to come out of the flames to find that not a single hair on their heads was singed and not a trace of smoke tainted their clothes. These young men were uncompromising in the face of persecution, opposition and ultimately actual fire. As a result of their steadfastness in the midst of such darkness, a supernatural event was set in motion- call it the 'Sevenshine Effect'- The hotter the opposition, the greater the anointing and supernatural release... changing the heart of a King and ultimately a nation. Stand strong... LET'S DO IT!
